HP Laptop 17-by3xxx
Microsoft Windows 11

My HP laptop 17 left hinge broke and the left corner is cracked, bulging, and just chipped tonight closer to the hinge. The laptop was dropped by the delivery driver 2 years ago so there is a small crack on top of the labtop. When I open and close the laptop the hinge is shifting and then separates the lower case from the upper case. The right side has also started crack but is not bulging. Since this issue, the screen will do this random black screen. The warranty is expired on this laptop. How do I fix this?

We would need pictures. Basically you identify the damaged parts and replace them. At least the hinges but likely also some large chassis pieces need to be replaced and the screen likely reconnected. HP will not cover this. You needed to make a claim with the delivery company 2 years ago. At this point it would all be blamed on the drop.

So if you don't mind me asking, how would I go about sending picture/ or starting a claim?

We can't do a claim here. You need to contact HP support. Can't speak for them but it likely will not get far since the laptop was dropped. Pictures can be posted in your replies to this and it will be a DIY repair or take it to a local tech.
