Hello,

I am having an issue occasionally when using the mini displayport on my HP Omen. Sometimes when I connect a mini displayport to VGA adapter to use a projector, my computer just crashes (ie suddenly completely shuts off). Has anyone ever encountered this issue? It doesn't happen 100% of the time but it is a serious issue when it does.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

 

As you've mentioned computer crashes when VGA adapter connected, I would recommend trying using a different adapter to isolate the issue.
