HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-eu0000 (267R6AV)

2-3 times a day my laptop will freeze completely, with the only option is either to wait long minutes until it crashes and restarts itself, or press the power button to manually turn it off and then on again. had this issue before but now it's worse, had a technician look at twice including part replacements yet the laptop did not operate better and still have this freezing and crashing issue.

Hi @Unknowing90,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

There could be several reasons why your HP ENVY X360 15.6 Inch 2-In-1 Laptop is freezing up and crashing. Here are a few troubleshooting steps that you can try.

  • Check for software updates: Make sure that your operating system and all of your installed applications are up-to-date. Check for any available updates and install them.
  • Run a virus scan: It's possible that your computer is infected with a virus or malware. Run a full virus scan using your preferred antivirus software.
  • Remove any recently installed programs: If the problem started after installing a new program, try uninstalling it to see if that resolves the issue.
  • Check for overheating: Overheating can cause a computer to freeze up or crash. Make sure that your laptop's cooling system is working properly and that there is no dust or debris blocking the air vents.
  • Check your hardware: Sometimes, faulty hardware can cause a computer to freeze up or crash. Try running hardware diagnostic tests to identify any issues with your laptop's hardware components.
  • Reset your laptop: If none of the above steps work, try resetting your laptop to its factory settings. This will erase all data and programs from your laptop, so make sure to back up any important files before doing so.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
