Hello, can you help me to understand the problem?
I have HP Power g8 notebook, with a very good performance when it works with a power adapter.
But when working on battery it is very slow - even mouse cursor moved with a significant delay after my action. the power plan is set to 'high performance'

Hello ASam1982.
This problem pop ups occasionally on the HP forum. This is not caused (or solved) by either software changes or windows power settings. There is some sort of "malfunction" on your system causing a hardware trigger to throttle your CPU when switching from the power adapter to battery. This sort of problem is fixed more often than not either by updating the BIOS (or downgrading it if a new version is what caused it in the first place) or by using a program to disable the hardware trigger. Usually the trigger has been reported to be the BD-Prochot switch, and the portable (no installation needed) program Throttlestop provides an easy way to disable it right on its main page. I've uploaded a copy of its newest version if you want to try it.........
I have to say though, that since this is a Zbook Power G8, you should have an active warranty, and can just let official HP service take care of it. As well they should!
