I need to install an additional 2.5 inch SSD which I would like to place on top of the existing SSD. The new SSD is ultra thin of 7mm so space wise it fits very well. I would like to retain the CD/DVD drive. The WWAN broadband chip is of not much use and would like to connect the SSD to this WWAN port. However can't seem to find the right cable for this. Any suggestions on the right cable & website to purchase?

The WWAN card slot uses Socket 2 and M.2 SSD uses Socket 3 M.2 SSD's may fit to Socket 2 but you won't get its speed. Why you need a cable ?

It's a 2.5 inch SSD which can be placed in the space on top of the existing HDD on the left side bottom side of the laptop. The WWAN port is on the opposite right hand top corner.  The only way to connect the SSD is by a cable. There is the usual option of using the optical drive bay with a caddy but I do use the DVD drive so it doesn't help
