Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I am trying to connect an old Apple Thunderbolt2 cinema display to my HP Pavilion Laptop PC 15-eg2000 with Windows11.  I am using an Apple Thunderbolt2 to Thunderbolt3 adapter (plugs into the usb c port) but then I am getting a message that the "Thunderbolt device functionality might be limited" and then "USB device not recognized."   Wonder if this is possible?

Thanks for your help!

The specs of your machine is

          https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_6302265-6302374-16

It ONLY has (1) USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port; 10 Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep & Charge)  port which is NOT a Thunderbolt port at all. Its USB-C port is simply a USB-C port. You can use this port to charge your machine and/or connect to a USB-C (or DP) monitor.

Regards.
