I am trying to connect my HP Envy x360 - 15t-aq200 CTO laptop to 2 Dell monitors through a WD19TBS dell docking station. I can connect the laptop directly to a monitor with an HDMI cable, but when I connect through the docking station, the monitor doesn't recognize anything connected to it. I updated my laptop BIOS and downloaded/installed the docking station drivers.

Hi @Josh228,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It's frustrating when external monitors don't work as expected through a docking station. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve the issue.
Check Hardware Connections:
- Ensure that all cables (HDMI, power, USB, etc.) between your laptop, docking station, and monitors are securely connected.
- Double-check that the monitors are powered on and set to the correct input source.
Docking Station Compatibility:
- Confirm that your HP Envy x360 laptop is compatible with the WD19TBS Dell docking station. Compatibility issues can sometimes arise when using non-compatible docking stations.
Docking Station Firmware/Driver Updates:
- Visit the Dell support website and check for any firmware or driver updates for the WD19TBS docking station. Sometimes, updating the docking station's firmware can resolve compatibility issues.
Windows Display Settings:
- Right-click on your desktop and select "Display settings."
- Make sure that Windows is detecting the external monitors. You should see multiple displays listed.
- Configure the display settings to extend or duplicate the display as needed.
Graphics Driver Update:
- Ensure that your laptop's graphics drivers are up-to-date. You can download the latest drivers from HP's official website or use Windows Update to check for driver updates.
Windows Key + P Shortcut:
- Press the Windows Key + P on your keyboard. This shortcut allows you to cycle through different display modes (e.g., Duplicate, Extend, Second screen only, etc.). Try changing the display mode and see if the monitors are recognized.
BIOS Settings:
- Access your laptop's BIOS settings and check if there are any options related to docking stations or external displays. Ensure that they are correctly configured.
Power Management Settings:
- In your laptop's power settings, disable any power-saving features that might turn off the display when using the docking station.
Try a Different Port on the Docking Station:
- If the WD19TBS docking station has multiple video output ports (HDMI, DisplayPort, etc.), try connecting the monitors to a different port on the docking station.
Check for Multiple Display Adapters:
- Go to "Device Manager" in Windows and expand the "Display adapters" section. Ensure that there are no conflicts or issues with display drivers.
Test with a Different Laptop/PC:
- If possible, test the WD19TBS docking station with another laptop or PC to see if it's functioning correctly.
By following these steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the issue with your dual monitor setup using the WD19TBS docking station.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
