Hi @nrf1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The HPM01 desktop computer supports connecting multiple monitors using both VGA and HDMI outputs. To connect three monitors, you will need to ensure that your graphics card has enough ports to accommodate them. Here's a step-by-step guide to connecting three monitors.

  • Check your graphics card: Make sure your graphics card has at least two video outputs, one VGA and one HDMI. If it doesn't, you may need to upgrade your graphics card or use additional adapters.
  • Identify the video ports: Locate the VGA and HDMI outputs on your computer. The VGA port is typically blue, while the HDMI port is rectangular with a wider bottom.
  • Connect the first monitor: Connect one of your monitors to the VGA output on your computer using a VGA cable. Plug one end of the VGA cable into the VGA port on the computer and the other end into the VGA input on the monitor.
  • Connect the second monitor: Connect the second monitor to the HDMI output on your computer using an HDMI cable. Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the computer and the other end into the HDMI input on the monitor.
  • Connect the third monitor: If your graphics card has an additional VGA or HDMI output, connect the third monitor using the available port and the corresponding cable. If you don't have an extra VGA or HDMI port, you can use additional adapters like DisplayPort to VGA or DisplayPort to HDMI adapters to connect the third monitor.
  • Adjust monitor settings: Once all three monitors are connected, you may need to adjust the display settings in your operating system. Depending on your computer's operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux), you can access the display settings to configure the monitor arrangement, resolution, and other preferences.
  • Configure display settings: In your operating system's display settings, you can arrange the monitors in the desired order, specify the primary monitor, adjust screen resolutions, and set up extended or duplicated displays according to your preference.

By following these steps, you should be able to connect three monitors to your HPM01 desktop computer using both the VGA and HDMI outputs. Remember, if your graphics card doesn't have enough ports, you may need to consider upgrading the graphics card or using additional adapters to connect all three monitors.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thanks, this was most useful for showing one screen and two mirrored  ie identical screens. It looks as though the hdmi adapter I have simply produces two mirrored screens rather than allowing different screens to be displayed. What do I need to do to be able to display three different screens? Do I need to install a second graphics card?

Many thanks for your help so far

Regards
