hp elitebook x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello all

I just bought the new HP elitebook x360.  So far it's awesome.

I have an external monitor that I am connecting to via HDMI.

Can I hook up a second monitor?   If so what sort of connector do I need to get? And does that use up one of my USB ports?

The computer did not come with a user manual though I am not sure if that info would be covered there anyway.

Thanks

The new Elitbook x360 does not have proprer docking port for a docking station therefore you need to use USB port for a USB docking station. Please check the following list

Thanks for this.  So, to be clear, if I buy a docking stations with two HDMI outputs I can use two HDMI monitors?

Not duplicating the same window on each.  Rather extended in the desktop across the two so can use each display for a separate application?

Thanks.  Seems to be some confusion on this when I looked at docing stations at Amazon.

Hi,

We actually have thousands of USB 3.0 docking stations. They all have DisplayLink certified and we can use 2 external monitors plu laptop monitor (total 3) and all 3 can be 3 different contents. I did post my testing around Christmas 2015 January 2016.

Please buy the one with DisplayLink certified sticker to make sure you get the right one.

Sorry I won't post brand and model of our USB 3.0 docking stations because they are not from HP but they are very similar to
