Hi Folk's,
I purchased the above laptop last week.
I've been trying to find an HP approved tech to install more RAM.
Every way I've tried ends up going in a circle.
So here I am.
Do any of you know how to contact support via email?
I presume if I install added RAM my warranty is voided.
So where do I go to get the RAM installed so the warranty is intact?
Thanks'.
A very very frustrated Bob.

Hi,
Upgrading RAM or Drive is an accepted practice and will not void warranty as long as you do not break anything during the upgrade. So you could do yourself or get it done by a local trusted computer shop. (it will also be much cheaper)
The notebook will support max 64GB of DDR4 2666Mhz RAM (2x32GB) even if service manual mentions 16GB
Example:
https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/pavilion-15-cs3055wm#memory
On page 56 of service manual you can see the steps to install the RAM

Hope it helps,
David

Put the new RAM in. Now HP support assistant site list the laptop as out of warranty.
As there are none in my town. Qualified to put it in. I think it's a bit crook.
Just another reason to go back to building my own.
Or taking HP to court for not supplying what they require you to have. 😁
Thanks for helping though. Not much of an improvement. I think the SX nature of the memory bus is the problem. Only half width. Takes me back to the good old days with my first 386 SX. 😀
Have a good one.
Cheers Bob.
