I recommend not using a "conversion tip" use a real power adapter that has a USB Type-C connector. Wasn't the notebook delivered with one?
It should have had one of the following.
AC adapter:
65-W AC adapter (non-PFC, USB Type-C) in ceramic white finish L32394-001
65-W AC adapter (non-PFC, USB Type-C) in dark ash silver finish L32392-001
65-W AC adapter (non-PFC, USB Type-C) in ceramic white finish 938800-850
65-W AC adapter (non-PFC, USB Type-C) in dark ash silver finish 860209-850
This HP power adapter is marketed by HP as being compatible with your notebook.
