HP Laptop 15-bw0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 IOT

Laptop missing cooling fan (warranty now expired).

I opened it up to see if it was dusty and why running so slow.  discovered there is no cooling fan installed.

I can see where the physical fan would be screwed in (I'll order a replacement), but how can I see where to connect to the motherboard/power source.   I don't see an available quick connect type slot nearby.

This is for HP Laptop 15-bw0xx.

Thanks.

What is your HP Laptop 15-bw0xx  ? Many HP laptops with low wattage CPU do not have cooling fan. Please do not install fan, it may not work at all, wasting your money.

Thanks for your reply,

Product Number 1UG68UA#ABL.

AMD E2-9000e RADEON R2, 4 COMPUTE CORES 2C+2G

4GB Samsung 1866MHz

Not sure where else to check the wattage?

Any other guesses about why it runs so slowly?  I've done the obvious system cleanups and such

The TDP for AMD E2-9000e RADEON R2 is only 6W therefore NO fan required and putting a fan to this machine won't work.
