I have had the spectre for several years but originally sent this computer in due to the screen going black. The second time, the laptop was overheating and having sound issues. Currently, I am noticing that the fan has stopped working, the computer is hot, and the battery life is 45 - 60 min max. Like other users of the Spectre x360, I am receiving a notice screen when I log in. I have attempted the suggestions and still have not been able to find any solution to work. While I am a dedicated HP user, I am disappointed that this computer is continually encountering issues that are out of my control. I proposed buying another laptop, but I am afraid of the same problems, especially when this one is having issues again. I am asking if anyone has experienced similar problems like these and their solution.

@pharshaw Click here to see this video in full screen on YouTube to reduce Heat Inside the Laptop to Prevent Overheating, alternatively, you can Click here for step by step instructions.
Also, to resolve issues with the fan, although, I must let you know that the fan is system managed and only a few tweaks can be made to the way it works, check the below steps to find a solution:
- Updating your Notebook computer BIOS
- Keeping notebook air vents clear and clean
- Increasing the efficiency of the notebook to reduce heat
- Using Windows Task Manager to identify corrupt processes
- Selecting power save settings to shut off your computer when it is not in use
