Hi. I have bought HP Pavilion 15-eh1116ua recently and I faced with a problem with cooling system. Sometimes left side of my notebook turns hot while right is still cold, and when I hold my hand near left radiators I don't feel any air come out while I feel cold air coming from the right side. I am sure that radiators in the left side are clean. What can I do to fix that problem? Thank you

Hi @Khrystyna_S,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP Pavilion 15 is having a cooling imbalance. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially fix the issue.
- Check for Obstructions: Ensure that the air vents on both sides of the laptop are not blocked by dust, debris, or anything else that might restrict airflow.
- Thermal Paste: If you're comfortable with it, consider reapplying thermal paste on the CPU and GPU. Over time, the thermal paste can dry out and lose its effectiveness, leading to overheating.
- Fan Functionality: Use software like HWMonitor or SpeedFan to check the fan speeds and temperatures. Ensure that the left fan is operating correctly. If it's not spinning or is erratic, it might need cleaning or replacement.
- Update BIOS and Drivers: Check for any BIOS or driver updates on HP's support website. Sometimes updates can improve system stability and thermal management.
- Cooling Pad: Using a cooling pad can help improve airflow and lower temperatures.
- Power Settings: Adjust your power settings to balance performance and cooling. Sometimes, switching to a power-saving mode can help reduce heat generation.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
