Common problems for Battery

HP Flyer Red
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

I'm trying to replace the battery for an HP 15-r132wm. The battery in it is an HSTNN-IB5Y (not an HSTNN-LB5Y). It is 11.1 volts, 3 cells and has 31Whrs of capacity (2612 mAh). It is a smart battery with checking circuitry.

Supposedly the 15-f272wm shares a common battery.

If it does, then I have found a good replacement. Can anyone confirm or deny compatibility between the two models?

Thank you if you can. My head is spinning from conflicting info.

Thank you Banhien. Your information was very helpful!

I looked on the old battery. The part number is: 746641-001.

Is that equivalent to 776622-001?

Thank you.
