Pavilion g6-1013sa
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

 Hi

After my daughter lost the power supply to her pavilion laptop while on holiday I seem to be having problems finding a comparable power supply lead.

I have bought 2 already but on each ocassion (although the seller stated they were compatable for my model) they did not fit my daughter's laptop & had to return the units to get a refund.
The issue seems to be that my daughter's laptop has kind of "five pin holes" as shown in the image below:

The two I bought were just the kind of 1 pin standard type and obviously would not fit.

The laptop is the Pavilion g6-1013sa (the AMD model)... this is the here:

Is there a specific name for this charger type I should be asking for??  Or should anyone be aware of where I can buy the correct power lead that would be so helpful.

Any help would be appreciated

If the jacks end looked like this then they were the correct ones???

This is a SMART AC and only has one pin.

If they did not fit then you have something else wrong with the laptop power connector???

Could the copper pin be inside your laptop power jack???

Thank @REO51ST for your reply.
I can only think the two power supply leads I bought were just the wrong types. The were just to small to fit my daughter's laptop.
However my friend has a recent HP All In Ons PC and his charge cable fitted the laptop (although it's a 120W) and my daughter's old charger was 60W. But it's actually charging etc fine.
It seems to have been sheer bad luck I have received two power leads which were the incorrect size, so it lead me to believe the correct actual lead should have "five pins" and that confused me.
You are correct the power lead is as shown in your image & I atleast now know which one I need to buy.
Thanks again
