Common problems for Battery

I was wondering if there were links to the original firmware's for the HP ENVY TouchSmart 15t-j100 laptops. I have two identical models. One was my own laptop that I still use from time to time that came with the GeForce addin video card. This one has the F.63 BIOS revision.

Recently someone gave me a second one that was damaged and I was able to repair it at a minimal cost and keep it. I was surprised to see that it had the F.72 firmware BUT it did NOT show the GeForce add-in video card, even though I disassembled the laptop and know it includes the nvidia chip on the board.

Did someone update it with the wrong BIOS and that BIOS now has disabled the GeForce video card? If so, I'd like to downgrade the BIOS to one where it worked.

HP has retired support for the model series since it has reached 10 years of age.

However, I was able to find BIOS v F.63 for you which is on this reputable 3rd party driver website.

It has both F.65 and F.63.

I checked HP's FTP site for F.63, but that particular file has been removed.

What I don't know is:  Can you roll back from v.F.72 to F.63?

I'll leave that up to you to find out.
