The QuickSpecs for the 8570p and 8570w specify one or the other of these two power supply ratings: 65W or 90W. Apparently this depends on whether or not the graphics adapter is "integrated" or "discrete."
How does one determine whether or not the graphics adapter is integrated or discrete. I assume the former is part of the motherboard and the other is a detachable and replaceable. But that doesn't help. Hence these two questions:
1. How can I determine if the 8750p with an AMD Radeon HD 7570M display adapter that I have needs a 90W power supply or will the 65W supply be sufficient? (Ihave both but I want to be able to use the 65 watt supply when and if I decide to sell it.)
2. How can I tell if the 8570w with an NVIDIA Quadro KM1000 display adapter is s a discrete or an embedded adapter?

Both are discrete video cards. Discrete means that it has its own supply of memory separate from the integrated video.
The HD 7570M is switchable but soldered to the board and the Quadro card is an MXM removeable card. Both laptops need the 90w adapter, particularly the 8570w.

Thank you very much!
As it turns out, the power supply for the 8570w is a 120W supply.
I wonder where the 65W supply with the large connector that fits the 8570p came from. I do have a 90W supply for it, but now I don't have a spare for it.
I like to have two supplies for my laptops, one for the bench or desk in my office and one for the travel bag...making it easier to pick up and go and also to have one in reserve in case one should fail.
