I didn't have time to call customer support but I know a cracked screen isn't covered by the manufacturer warranty. Does anyone know how much it typically costs to replace an hp pavilion computer screen. My toddler closed headphones into the screen and it ended up cracking.
Any info is helpful
Thank you!

The screen itself is about $60. If you are interested we can walk you through self-repair which is not as hard as you probably fear.
Post back if you are willing to do a little work yourself and save a lot of money.
If you buy the screen yourself you can likely find a local technician who will do the replacement for $100 or less.
Much cheaper than HP or Geek Squad.

It depends on the model of your computer and whether you are replacing the screen yourself or having HP/3rd party replace it for you.
If you bought an entry-level notebook or it's older than a few years I would suggest replacement of the entire notebook as the costs associated with screen replacement are pretty high.
If you want to know more, post the HP Product Number (P/N) or specific model of your notebook so we can look up replace/repair costs.

HP has that part listed at an insane amount of money, but if you want to look for it online the HP part number is 839853-001.
That being said, an out-of-warranty repair (customer damage) like this typically costs $250-$500 with parts, shipping, labor. I'd contact HP direct by phone for the exact quote.
