Costco warranty

My Omen 17 battery busted roughly 4 months ago, now it won't even turn on without plug-in the power first (yeah it's still usable). And now I wanna get it repaired, and since I purchased it from Costco back in March 2019, can I use my Costco 2-year warranty on this or no? Cuz the website told me that the HP repair warranty has already expired, so it got me worried, thx.

Since you have unexpired warranty with Costco, you might want to check with their customer service.

If cannot use the Costco Warranty service

Or

You decide for any reason to fix this yourself,

Then

Look up the part number and the procedure for the replacement in the Service Guide for your computer.

Most of the time, battery replacement is not overly difficult - there are instructions and even videos to help you with the process.

Find Parts and Replacement Procedure

• Open Support Home >> Enter the full model name
• When the website opens, select category Manuals
• Look for and open the Maintenance and Service guide for your computer (document name varies)

NOTES  

1. The exact name of the document varies, though usually the word "service" or "maintenance" is included in the name. 
2. The "Service Guide" and "User Guide" are not the same documents.

• Part numbers and replacement procedure are listed in the component replacement section (wording varies)
