Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-e0000 (457S2AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello there,

I have  hp victus amd ryzen 5600h rx5500m 6.1 inch laptop which is 2years old. Recently I noticed that my laptop got some unusual heating issues through the keyboard. After then i check the cpu temp and it lies between 55 -80 degree Celsius. And I got to know because of dust inside the fan and the dry thermal paste might be the caused. After opening the back pannel I am seeing that there is a white putty kind paste is also available which is i am unaware of.

After googling a bit i came to it is a paste used for gpu and also there is thermal pad available in the market for this.

So now I am confused if this is fine to apply thermal pad if there was thermal putty used previously. And if not which kind of paste should i used for the best ?

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you want information about thermal paste, I am glad to assist you.

It is advised to use thermal gel to reduce the heat.

Here is the part number of the thermal gel and grease that you can use.

Refer to page number 42 in this service manual for more assistance:- Click here
