HP 2000-2b43DX Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My (HP 2000-2b43DX Notebook) does not power on. Power light went from solid white but not powered on, to a brief 1 second flash of an orange light at the dc power jack when l plug in the charger. Hp advised me to resead or replace the cpu. Unfortunately my model has the amd cpu that can’t be removed. What are my options? Thank you

That means you have to replace the whole system board.  The specs of your machine is

              https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c03699739

It uses system board part # 688279-501 which contains

  • CPU,
  • RAM,
  • Windows 8 license key

Unfortunately  part is NO LONGER SUPPLIED. You have to search on eBay

I would buy a new machine, ending up cheaper

Regards.
