I saw yesterday that a crack appeared on my laptop near the power  button.Whenever I try to close the lid, it exposes some tiny part of the back of the laptop near the left hinge. It isn't a big issue right now but I had seen in the community  that within a few months, it can escalate to bigger problems.

My laptop is being used regularly nowadays and before it gets that bad, I want to fix it. It is 3 to 4 years old and out of warranty.

The problem seems to be in its left hinge which I had known existed since a couple of weeks but ignored, as it wasn't of much concern. When closing the lid, I could feel it to be getting stuck somewhere near the left hinge and after applying a little more pressure, it closed. This is an image from a question in the community, my laptop looks much like the same and crack is at the same position too. This is an image from a question in the community, my laptop looks much like the same and crack is at the same position too.
