Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-r0000 (76T05AV)

Dear HP Team,

I purchased an HP Victus 16 in June 2024 and have experienced serious hardware issues from the start: semi-transparent display, flickering on dark areas, screen going black randomly, and unresponsive keyboard and power button. Most recently, the device shut down and has not turned on again.

These issues clearly point to a manufacturing defect. I have submitted the laptop to HP authorized service and requested a full refund. I kindly expect a prompt and fair resolution.

Best regards,
Mert Özenir

This issue is not about a printer — it concerns my HP Victus 16 (RTX 4060 / Intel i7) laptop.

Let me clarify the situation again:

The main reason I submitted the laptop for service is a chronic problem with the hall sensor.
Due to this defect, the laptop incorrectly thinks the lid is closed, and the screen completely shuts off — even though the system is still running. This is not a one-time failure; it’s a design flaw that has been widely reported by other users of the same model.

I understand that your team is suggesting a panel replacement, but this does not solve the real issue.
The panel has a separate visual problem — the screen appears semi-transparent or distorted at times — but again, that is secondary. The primary issue is hall sensor failure, which leads to the display turning off permanently.

This means a motherboard replacement or a part repair won’t fix the root cause. We are not requesting repair, but instead asking for a full refund or a model replacement based on:

The recurrent nature of the problem,

Its impact on the usability of the device, and

The fact that it’s related to a structural flaw in the product’s design.

In accordance with Turkish consumer protection law, a buyer has the right to request a refund or a new product in cases of chronic or repeated malfunctions that affect functionality.

Please escalate this matter to the appropriate department that can approve a refund or replacement. We are not willing to accept temporary fixes for a structural flaw.

Thank you for your support,
Mert Özenir

Kindly refrain from sharing device serial number and work order details in the public.

We see that have send us a PM, we shall continue supporting you from there.
