Microsoft Windows 11

I'm replacing the DC socket/cable on a Pavilion 15-cw1598sa laptop.
There is a black spot on one side of the plug which connects to the motherboard.

(The plug is symmetrical)
Should I plug it with the black spot orientated away from the motherboard, or towards the motherboard?
Thanks

It's not symmetrical. On the sides, you have small notches that prevent it from being wrongly installed.

Thanks for that Valsimot, but this one does not.
The  orginal and the replacement are both flush.
The black spot should be orientated away from the motherboard.
From other HP laptops I'm working on currently - that seems to be consistent.
