Hi there,
I have HP Pro Book 430 G2 laptop with default hardware which is 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3L RAM option.
I want to put 2 pieces 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM instead of DDR3L RAM.
Do you think that does it damage to the other hardware or laptop to use DDR3 RAM usage instead of DDR3L RAM usage?
Thanks for quick support.
I NEED VERY URGENT FEEDBACK PLEASE!

Hi Paul,
Actually I put DDR3 RAMs into my laptop and now it's working. But I couldn't be sure that there will be damage on long term usage. I guess laptop couldn't be turned on after I put the RAMs into it, but it's turned on somehow.

I think you will be fine then.
I have read posts on this forum on similar model Elitebooks such as the G1, where if you install DDR3 memory in a slot meant for DDR3L memory, the BIOS reports an error that the wrong voltage memory was installed.
I think the worst case scenario is your battery will drain faster with the 1.5V memory.

I think all of the slots are labeled that way, but they are supposed to use 1.35V memory.
Starting with the 4th gen Intel core processors, the memory spec was changed from DDR3 to DDR3L.
As I wrote...if the BIOS did not report an error, then you should be just fine.
