My laptop has a DDR3L slot into which I have insertead a DDR3 memory stick. I can't get the right type in the near future. This setup works fine but each time I reboot there is an error message telling be about the wrong memory type and then I have to press enter to continue. Is there away to skip this check?

The check is telling you to take that memory out of there and you should. It is 1.5 volt memory and your laptop needs 1.35 volt memory. Like trying to disable the check engine light on your car.

Thank you for this super fast reply.

I understand what you are saying and understand the risks but that is not what I was asking about. I know how to disable the check engine light in my car actually ) Is there a way to do the same on my laptop? I will have to use the wrong type of memory for some time unfortunately.

You may have a "fast boot" option in the BIOS which will cause it to blow past some warnings but I think hardware warnings like that and fan not working and other stuff that warns of dangers to the system are not able to be defeated. I fully understood what you were asking by the way, and appreciate that you understand you are likely damaging your computer by running improper memory.
