HP Recommended

My wife closed her laptop, a ZBook G... 3 or 5 (can't remember right now, not at home) yesterday afternoon. Later in the evening when she reopened it, the screen never turned back on again. It is now all/completely dead/black. By connecting it by HDMI to another monitor I was able to use it, trying to do whatever I could think of and find online.

What I have done so far:

– Reinstalled and updated video drivers (NVIDIA Quadro M1000M)

– Updated BIOS

– Changed RAM-slot

– Ejected RAM-memory

... I have not yet had the guts to disassemble the screen to check to LCD-cable connection there. Maybe I would and should do that.

... So, I'm guessing the screen hardware is broken?

Something else I should try?

Any input/suggestions on this matter would be very appreciated.
