Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi community,

I have a hp omen 15 laptop (2020) which shows in the details that type c charge is available. My current normal HP charger is 145 WATTS and i have a lenovo type C charger that is 90 watts.so my question is

1)can i charge it through that charger

2)is it bad to experiment it like that

3)are there any reasonable benefits on top of a normal charger apart from easier portability

@Slainedbybot

I did a test for my HP Omen another day using 100W output from USB-C Gen 5 dock the result I need much higher wattage charger. 100W can charge an HP Omen during machine off or doing nothing.

My Omen uses normal 200W charger. I read the news, probably at the end of this year (2021) vendors would give us 240W USB-C charger.

Back to your machine, 90W may only charge your machine machine off or doing nothing.

Regards.
