There are three problems and I'm not sure if they are linked. The first is the most frustrating.
My laptop occasionally goes bluescreen showing DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. Mostly this happens when I'm using Google Chrome (haven't tested other browsers). Minutes before the bluescreen, the system can become laggy or even freeze for a few seconds, then return normal before the bluescreen shows. I can't reproduce the problem.
The battery icon in the bottom right corner of my taskbar occasionally behaves unexpectedly. Typical cases: showing 9% battery; showing 255% battery; showing no battery. This can be fixed by unplugging and replugging power. I can't find any pattern of this problem.
Rarely, the CPU is suddenly locked to 400MHz. This can be fixed also by unplugging and replugging power.
