I've found numerous questions asked, but not many answers. I implore relevant solutions outside templates that dominate forums. In the very beginning of troubleshooting, I did find that the driver, Tsstcorp SU-20B88 was listed and then uninstalled. However, I cannot reinstall or see it listed when selecting show hidden devices.
- I do not see cdrom.sys running under services.
- Using ServiWin, the program shows that cdrom.sys is running, but I cannot stop or restart the service.
- It is not recognized in the bios or HP Hardware Diagnostics.
So far, I’ve followed every step given for “Your CD or DVD drive is not recognized by Windows or other programs” by HP and completed others:

- I've unsuccessfully tried two different OD's.
Windows:
- Edition: Windows 10 Home
- Version: 20H2
- Build: 19042.804 10/16/2020
IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers
- AMD SATA Controller
- Driver: 1.3.1.277 4/15/2015
I'm at wits end, I appreciate any response. TIA
