Hi, my Notebook ask me to update the DVD firmware, without this I can't write any DVD.

May I know where I can find it.

Maybe if you told us the model number of the laptop.

The model is HP Pavillon , there is not write other number, do you think is enought for you, is not tell me where I find it.

There is no DVD firmware posted on the driver page which is where HP would put it if they were aware your DVD burner needs a firmware update. HP might have used one of several models of DVD burner. You need to go into the Device Manager and see how the DVD burner is listed it will generally give the manufacturer and model of the device and then we can search the manufacturer website for firmware updates. 

 

And can we perhaps see the message you are getting that is telling you to update firmware?

In device manager there is write HP DVDRW GUB0N.

 

The message I have when I try to burn a DVD is:

Impossible to burn the disk, verify that the last version of firmware is installed.
