Microsoft provides Spaceport.. the SCSI driver... Can you get this fix.. please?????? I need it so Win 10 will Upgrade.

Because, I get the Upgrade not seeing the device.. and the SP First pass on path..see's ambiguous migration.. Then halts the install of 1909... every way I have tried to install Win10-1909, I get this result.

Also, I bought the pc from Walmart, and the install bootstrap was done 10 days before.. It never had a recovery drive partition, and I know I made one.  Drive D:\   is all I can find at the moment.  No WinRe, no wim..  and this dvd won't format.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

Firstly, perform Windows Update and HP Support Assistant: (do not skip any troubleshooting steps if you feel steps are repeating)

To check for updates now, select the Start button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.

Install updates from HP Support Assistant: Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool.

  1. To open the HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon https://support.hp.com/doc-images/932/c05040382.jpg.
  2. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
  3. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
  4. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
  5. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
  6. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

And, also run BIOS Update: Follow steps from the link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00042629

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

I got win 1909 to install by using the usb stick method. It put Windows onto a small partition.  My hard disk works, but 1809 would not upgrade.  So, in doing that, I found the Gub0n cd/dvd would not format.  So I have run troubleshooting and done device check.. as you can see from my first posting. The bios installed f30, had 29a.. and windows update gets no cdrom driver update from Microsoft. From HP there is no drive update, and I don't see anything other than chip firmware, what ones of those are required for this 15-ac143WM  ??  - 1909 win10 is also giving 51, and not erase/format. or burning disk, but plays about anything.

Thank you for posting back,

Use Microsoft System Restore to return the system back to a time when the CD/DVD writing software was known to work. For more information, refer to the HP Support document Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 10, 😎.

If a System Restore does not resolve the problem, you can perform a system recovery to return the computer software configuration back to its original state. Depending on your version of Windows, go to one of the following HP support documents for more information:

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
