Hi. My DVD drive does not read discs. Cannot open them. What should I do? Thanks a lot.

It is difficult to help you if you don't identify your HP notebook with its HP product name or product number.

 

Look on the bottom of the notebook for the ProdID. Kindly post it in your next reply to your thread.

What is the installed operating system?

 

Have you tried running the Hardware Diagnostics test for the optical disc?
