DVD drive is not being recognized by Windows 11 system. States a code 39 error. I have been messing with HP for some time and getting nowhere.  I have an internal DVD drive and an external Memorex DVD drive connected by USB. Neither are recognized.

Hi:

 

The only suggestion I can offer would be to go through the troubleshooting steps that Micrsoft provides at the link below.

 

Your CD or DVD drive is not recognized by Windows or other programs - Microsoft Support
