Product: Pavilion DV6 Notebook PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I believe the DVD drive in my PC  is malfunctioning and will attempt to replace it myself. However, I will need to know the correct part number to purchase one online.

How can I find the correct part? I was advised mine should be a combo drive - 665328-001 SPS-DRV SATA BD COMBO FX 12.7 and where can purchase it?

What is your Pavilion DV6 Notebook PC ? The following machine has ODD part # 665327-001 which is  DVD±RW Double-Layer FX SuperMulti Drive

 

                HP Pavilion dv6-6c35dx

 

Your machine may/may not have same part that why I have to ask.  Please use the following way to find out the model/product of your machine

I was quoted 665328-001 SPS-DRV ODD SATA BD COMBO FX12.7

My PC is DV6-6102ax Entertainment Notebook. If parts are no longer available, I may consider an external USB DVD drive.
