Product: HP Pavillion HP 17-g121wm
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

hp DVDRW DU8AESH does not work. when attempting to update driver it always states that best driver is already installed. Installed driver is "C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\cdrom.sys". Is that the proper driver? If not, what is and who has it?

I thought I would check my desktop since it still has a CD/DVD drive -- and the driver I have is the same -- comes from Microsoft, dated 2006.  There are no newer drivers for these devices, especially since the newer PCs stopped including CD/DVD drives.
