Hello everybody!

Yesterday I had an accident with my bicycle - I fell from it and my laptop got damaged at the left edge next to the screen.

Luckily, the damage is only comsetic apart from the bent HDMI Port. However, the aluminium bit is badly bent and a small piece of the plastic panel has broken and detached from the rest of the body. Because of this, there is a bit of circuitry exposed and it is a little bit damaged.

Fortunately, the laptop is working perfectly fine, only the HDMI Port is gone.

I would like to ask for some advice: can I order the parts from HP and fix it myself? Currently I would like to know whether I can order both the aluminium and plastic panels and repair them myself? Moreover, is the HDMI Port easily detachable so that I can buy a new one and do the same process of swapping it? Broken Laptop.jpeg

Thank you for the help and enjoy your day!

My guess would be that in both cases (1 -- ordering parts, and 2 - repairing it yourself) the answer is NO.

You can use this link to look for parts, but I don't believe that HP sells internal parts:  HP Notebook PCs - Ordering HP Certified Replacement Parts | HP® Customer Support
