My laptop is about 3 years old and out of warranty, but in generally good condition.
Last night, it fell and the left hinge took damage. The screen is now separating from the casing, and when I open/close the laptop I can see the screen bending slightly inwards. The computer itself is working okay, for now, but I'm worried that it might get worse if I don't do something about it. When the casing broke, a couple of metal rivets and some plastic pieces fell out.
I took it to some repair shops in town, but they all said they wouldn't be able to source the parts for a repair. I tried using the HP service center finder, but the nearest result was 50 miles away and they told me they wouldn't be able to fix it, even if I ordered the parts myself. I tried using the virtual agent on HP's site to report the problem, but when I try to ask about repairs it keeps telling me my warranty's expired.
Is it impossible to request a repair without a warranty? What are my other options here? I don't know what to do.

Hi @Cosmia
As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.
If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
Have a great day!
