hp omen 15-ax010nd
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have the hp omen 15-ax010nd with several disks pre-installed.

On the moment I run out of space on my C: disk, but don't know 100% what the 😧 disk is for and how to use it properly.

Can I just put files safely away in that specific disk? (see image below)

If so, is there a easy way to move storage of programs (like SharePoint) or specific maps standard to this disk?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Your laptop came with Windows 10 Home OS.

Your Omen notebook comes with 1 TB 7200 SATA HDD (D:\) for storage - spinning mechanical drive, lower access and speed times & 128GB M.2 SSD as bootdrive (C:\) - static flash chip, fastest boot, access and speed time, as you have noticed.

Specs: http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/OMEN-15-by-HP-Laptop-PC/10862325/model/12100239/document/c051801...

You cannot just simply copy the program files to DATA D:, because they're operating system files. It'll make operating system corrupted.

You can map user file folders to 😧 so that files get automatically stored to D:.
Method 2:
https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1964-users-folder-move-location-windows-10-a.html

But if you do, naturally access time to files and speed considerably reduces due to the fact that 😧 drive is rotating spinning HDD.

Please follow these tutorials to clean up C: safely, to free up space:
