Laptop shows an error message plugged in but not charging.
Battery isn't charging beyond 0%
In HP support assistant, the battery check shows ok.
In UEFI test, error is shown as Deep Discharge(4).
Tried troubleshhoting by reinstalling drivrs, updating the bios, reattaching the battery, assesing the power chord, running system through another OS. None of these solved the issue.
It would be very helpful if someone could answe these.

You need to replace the battery. When they get some age it is very hard on the battery to run it down to below about 10% and sometimes they just can't come put of that low charge state. Your images are not coming up yet but it would be good to see the advanced battery diagnostics.
