Defective left hinge

Just in case this isn't a response to the post, I am having the same issue as the link here (and is mentioned many times in the community). The left hinge on my computer is separating and causing the screen to separate as well. "Based on the large number of HP customers that are experiencing this same issue, I can't help but to think this is a HP ENVY x360  hinge manufacturing defect.  Do you have a system in place to resolve this or am I on my own and left with a defective laptop?"
