Detailed specifications for the USB Type- C port on my ENVY laptop model 13-ad173cl

 The following is from the User’s manual but not enough detail describing the USB-C specifications.

USB Type-C port with HP Sleep and Charge Connects a USB device that has a Type-C connector, provides data transfer, and even when the computer is off, charges most products such as a cell phone, camera, activity tracker, or smartwatch. – and – Connects a display device that has a USB Type-C connector, providing DisplayPort output. NOTE: Cables and/or adapters (purchased separately) may be required.

The specifications should look something like: USB 3.? Gen ? Type-C

I am looking for a USB hub that is compatible with HP ENVY but the HP ENVY USB-C Hub at $99 is way too expansive for the limited features if offers.

You can't find better dock which is under $100.  My pick: for productivity and few more years down the track:

                         HP USB-C/A Universal Dock G2
