Device Driverfor Windows 10: HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor

I am unable to locate the driver for the HP ProBook 6470bs HP Mobile Data Protection Sensor for Windows 10.

Here are the Hardware IDs I found in  the Device Manager:

ACPI\VEN_HPQ&DEV_6000
ACPI\HPQ6000
*HPQ6000

I upgraded the system to use a solid state drive, so this could probably be disabled.  I believe the software/driver is intended to protect traditional hard drives from the shock of impacts to the device.  But I'd still like to get the driver if possible.

Hi:

See if this driver works...

7.0.2.1 (July 13, 2018) - sp88981.exe

Note: Uninstall at first ANY old version.

Run the above driver, once done go into the device manager, and manually update the driver here (select the accelerometer.inf in the expanded folder).

To manually install the driver, click on the 3d Driveguard device needing the driver.  Click on the driver tab.

Click on Update driver.  Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and then at the bottom of that window, select the 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.'

Click on Have Disk, and browse to C:\SWSetup\sp88981\base\accelerometer (setup information file).

Click next, and the driver should install.

Then restart the PC.

That was it.  It was necessary to manually install the driver by selecting the accelerometer.inf file as Paul instructed.  But once that was done, the device was properly installed per the Device Manager.

I believe I had done this before using the incorrect driver, and this led to some large problems, so I was a little gun shy to experiment.
