Spectre x360 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm planning on purchasing a Spectre x360 with the Vega GPU in the near future, but I'm a little confused between two models.

There is the HP Spectre x360 - 15-ch012nr (Product #: 4UR74UA#ABA) and the HP Spectre x360 15t Touch Laptop - Gfx Plus (Product #: 4VW40AV_1).

They look essentially identical, but there is a price difference of $300. I was planning on getting the GFX Plus model, but I want to make sure I'm not missing out on anything that I might want/need by not getting the more expensive model. Thanks!

Hello @JPDVM2014,

The 4UR74UA#ABA seems to have a stylus included and reportedly supports 2, not 1 Thunderbolt 3 ports, as opposed to the 4VW40AV_1.

A different user just several minutes ago did ask sales and apparently, the fact that the 4VW40AV_1 only has 1 Thunderbolt 3 port is a website typo but I'm a bit skeptical.

Those seem to be the only differences.

Hope this helps,

Eddy

Hello @JPDVM2014,

I should be able to provide a concrete answer with the information given but to be more accurate, could you post the website links?

Model 4UR74UA only seems to be detected by HP Marketing resources and the 4VW40AV is a CTO model (Custom-to-order).

Kind regards,

Eddy

Hello @JPDVM2014,

I read your concern and I am happy to help you.

There is no differance between 2 models.
For (
Product #: 4VW40AV_1) Here only issue is in hp.com it shows this model comes with 1 Thunderbolt 3 port but when I check with sales team they said it was a typo in hp.com and this model comes with 2 thunderbolt 3 ports.

Please check this link once:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/HP-Spectre-x360-15t-Touch-Lapt...

There is only one document avaliable for all Spectre X360 15 models and in that document it shows 2 models one is with 2thunderbolt 3 ports and another one is with 1 thunderbolt 3 port and 1 standard type c gen 1 port.

Document Link: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05924302

Just think if this model(4VW40AV_1) comes with 1 Thunderbolt 3 port only then they need to menction about standard type-c port right?

Here misrtake is they type 1Thunderbolt 3 instead of 2 Thunderbolt 3. So no need to worry.

Please go ahead and purchase Gfx-pluse model. now it is on $300 off and this promotion ends on 08/25/18.

I alerady purchased this model waiting for delivary...
