HP USB-C Dock G5

I have a few devices that I connect to my dock which I don't want to be always powered on. However, unlike the USB-C Dock G5 Essentials, all 4 ports in the G5 support HP Sleep and Charge, which essentially means they are always powered on, even if there is no device connected. Is there a way to disable sleep and charge in any of these ports?

Hi @recrsn

You can only disable charging on all USB ports, and you do that from the computer's BIOS as long as you have that option in the BIOS.

Changing settings on BIOS only affects the laptop USB ports not the ones on the dock.

My question is regarding the 4 USB ports in the HP USB-C dock G5 which always stay powered on regardless of a laptop connected to them or not since the dock is externally powered.

I have tried this with multiple HP and non-HP laptops.

Of course only the USB ports, there is no software that can disable the ports separately, that does not exist.
