For some reason my touchpad no longer disables with the upper left double-tap, OR, there was a setting for the mouse that disabled the touchpad when the mouse was active. Eher way, the double-tap is not working, cannot find the mouse setting to disable the touchpad when mouse is active, and I cannot find the setting to disable the touchpad.

I tried to disable touchpad through the device manager, but cannot seem to locate a method to disable. Settings / Devices / Touchpad / Additional Settings / Hardware / Synaptics SMBus Clickpad / Change Settings. And I get the following screen:

SynapticsSettings.PNG

Or this previous screen:

SynapticsHardware.PNG

I do not see where or how to disable the touchscreen.

It has become very difficult to type, as I had gotten used to the touchpad being off while doing most of my typing using the mouse. Please help me disable the touchpad.

Seems to be the same update causing settings to disable as in the post above.

Thanks, but your link didn't resolve:

Got it, thanks. This is what I was looking for. Will revert to original drivers, or just uninstall.

Problem being that the stock drivers are also broken.

Rolled back the touchpad driver and got the synaptics driver back. Can at least disable the touchpad now. Also added back into the icon tray for easy toggling.
