I purchased a Spectre laptop in June 2023. Today Windows 11 warned of imminent disk failure. I was able to back it up. But on reboot, the laptop no longer loads. I have tried resetting to a fresh install, but that doesn't load either.
My warranty expired in June 2024, but I don't think 2years 2months is a reasonable expectation for the life of a Disk. This was not a cheap laptop! And now I'm stuck and unable to work.
Can anyone advise which disk is fitted in this laptop and how easy it will be to replace?
Thanks in advance.

Looks like models with that product number came with 512 GB PCIe Gen 3 and Gen 4 NVMe SSDs:
They also came with 512 GB or 1 TB drives.
I'd recommend this 1 TB drive as a suitable replacement:
A less expensive but still decent performing drive would be this one:
I believe that both of the above drives come with 5-year warranties.
Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the SSD removal and replacement procedure:
Your notebook should be supported by the HP cloud recovery tool which will factory reset the drive to its 'out of the box' condition.
That recovery image should include the Intel storage controller driver you need for Windows to find the drive.
Here is an info link for how to use the utility. You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive for this.

You can download the software from the Microsoft Store.
HP Cloud Recovery Tool - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store
Since you have to use the software on another PC as yours is not working, you will need to enter your PC's product number in the tool's search window in order to proceed.
I don't know what your specific notebook's product number is though.
The 508S1AV product number you posted is for the general model series of which many different individual model numbers fall under as you can see from the link below:
Once you locate the product number for your notebook, include the #ABU characters that follow the main product number.
