Hi all,
The hinge on my laptop broke recently, which is a common issue by the sounds of these threads! I need it to be fixed rather quickly, and a shop I was talking with mentioned that when the hinge snaps it naturally requires a fix to a few parts beneath / behind the screen - however if the laptop has an all-in-one display panel (?) then it can be much more expensive to replace than if there are many separate parts which can be lifted out
I can't remember if display panel was the actual term used, apologies for my ignorance but was wondering for anyone who may have been in a similar position - if the laptop model was quite easy to fix in that sense or if it was more expensive due to this all-in-one property with the components behind the screen?
The laptop product number is : 2S896EA
Thanks very much

I think you probably misunderstood the technician. Your laptop needs to be examined and the affected parts listed so you can get replacements. The hinges definitely need replaced and also any other part where hinges mount to the chassis which might have been damaged and made unuseable.
