I have changed out the cable and tried another monitor. It just stopped working.

What is your Omen ? Does it work when you use the old cable, why you have to change ? How did you connect them before and how do you connect them now ?

 

You need to fix the cable & monitor, not machine.

The monitor is fine and I replaced the cable. I have other computers to use for testing.

The HP Omen laptop mini-display port is not working.  No signal is the message on the monitor.
